Dan Meersman serves as the Executive Director of The 1854 Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to support charitable works in our community particularly as it relates to enhancing our local and near-neighbor communities' environmental health, beautification, sustainability, and stabilization; assisting local youth groups in expanding their education and gaining equitable access to athletic opportunities; preserving and maintaining facilities, history, and artifacts related to amateur athletics; and supporting local, regional, national, and international amateur sports and competitions. Dan has been serving as CPO/Director of Grounds & Facilities at The Philadelphia Cricket Club since 2009. He comes from a long line of golf course superintendents, including his grandfather, father, uncle, and brother. He is honored to share their natural ability to think far into the future and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to build permanence.
